ARADOS GROUP LLC

01

Statement

Statement

ARADOS Group supports the objectives of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to conducting business in a manner that respects human dignity and rejects forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation.

This statement is published voluntarily. It is not made under section 54 of the Act, and it is not a statement of compliance with any statutory reporting obligation.

02

Our business

Our business

ARADOS Group is an international merchant group focused on trade, commodities, energy and infrastructure.

Our supply chains are formed transaction by transaction and may involve third-party producers, suppliers, shipping and logistics providers, and intermediaries in a number of jurisdictions.

03

Our approach

Our approach

We do not accept forced, bonded, compulsory or child labour, or human trafficking, in our own operations, and we do not knowingly engage with counterparties involved in them.

ARADOS is a young business. Our policies and controls are proportionate to our current size and activity, and we expect them to develop as our business and supply chains grow.

04

Supply-chain and counterparty expectations

Supply-chain and counterparty expectations

We expect counterparties, suppliers and service providers to:

  • comply with applicable laws on forced labour, human trafficking and child labour

  • ensure that work is freely chosen, that workers are paid lawfully and work in safe conditions, and that identity documents are not withheld or recruitment fees charged to workers

  • apply equivalent expectations to their own suppliers

  • raise promptly with us any concern relating to modern slavery connected with our dealings

Where appropriate, ARADOS may seek to reflect relevant compliance expectations in its commercial arrangements.

05

Due diligence

Due diligence

Depending on the nature of the transaction, ARADOS may conduct proportionate due diligence on counterparties, ownership, authority, origin of goods and transaction structure. This may include confirming counterparty identity and corporate authority; ownership or control information where relevant; transaction documentation; title-holder or seller authority where relevant; the origin of goods; the shipping or transaction route where relevant; and country-of-origin or restricted-origin considerations.

We may decline to proceed with, or end, a relationship where concerns are not resolved.

06

Risk awareness

Risk awareness

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery is higher in some activities, including the extraction and production of certain commodities and raw materials, maritime shipping and crewing, construction, and the manufacture of electronic components. Risk can also be higher in jurisdictions with weak labour protections or enforcement, and in long or opaque supply chains.

We take these factors into account when assessing counterparties and transactions.

07
